Drop Out Notice
Students discontinuing all classes at MDA must submit their intent in writing no less than two weeks before their last class. If you decide to discontinue dance classes after your costume has been ordered you are still responsible for payment. Once we place an order, it is the COSTUME COMPANY POLICY that we cannot cancel any order after it has been placed. Costumes are non-returnable and non-refundable; all costumes are ordered by the end of October.

Regular Attendance
Please arrive 5 minutes before your class starts dressed and ready to dance. Attendance in class is essential for the development of each student, as well as the class as a whole. After four consecutive abscences we will assume the student will no longer want to attend. If a child does need to miss a class, please call and let us know before the class starts, leave a message with the childs name, class, and reason for the abscense. Ocasionally a child will need to be abscent frequently, if this happens, you will need to discuss this with your teacher so you can work out a plan to keep the student up on the choreography of the dances.

Student Attire
For the safety of the dancer, it is important that the appropriate dancewear is worn to class. Overly long and baggy clothingm, as well as loose jewlery, poses a hazard to the dancer and it makes it impossible for the instructor to see if their body is in proper alignment. The proper dancewear is a leotard, tights, and the proper shoes. PLEASE LABEL ALL DANCE BAGS AND SHOES!! Hair should be pulled back into a bun or braid. Make sure your child goes to the bathroom before class starts/ This will cut down the bathroom breaks which cause lost learning time.

Waiting Area
There is no food or beverages, with the exception of water bottles, allowed in the studio. If you need to have a snack. or even sometimes dinner, there is a bench in the mall commons with a garbage can next to it. Spills and crumbs can be cleaned up easier in the hall than on the studio carpet. Parents are asked to supervise brothers and sisters in the waiting area and the hallway; mall policy states that we contain our business to our space. Also, it is very important that you are on time when picking up your child, we cannot be responsbile for them after a class is dismissed.
